Peanuts and Potatoes

Yesterday was The father in laws birthday, so we drove down to Ferren to spend the evening with him. We stopped off at Groggs and bought some dinner to take to him. Oshai always brags about the pretzels from there so we got some and stuffed ourselves! Oshai must have gotten his love of motorcycles from Garth because it seems like everything about him is Harley Davidson motorcycles! I wanted to make him a Harley cake so I put some flames and the signature orange and black colors with a tiny motorcycle to top it :) I hope he likes it. We also watched the second incredibles movie. I think the best part of that movie was baby jack jack. Overall I think it was a great night and the boys always like to see Grandpa Davis!

It’s been a while
So it has been a day or two since I have been on. I’ve done many projects (mostly wood crafts) to keep me busy on top of my 3 sweet boys. Now that we are in our home here in Birdseye, I get to decorate again for the holidays. It brings me so much joy to decorate for the holidays. I feel like it is partly because my mom always decorated and that’s something I had and still do look forward to. There’s just something about changing up a room almost every month too that makes me feel good. I have my same home but I still get a change. I have my wood shed now as well so I get to go out and cut new projects out

Cake :)
This is a 50th wedding anniversary cake I did for my neighbors parents. All of the flowers are fondant and done by myself. I had a lot of fun with the flowers on this cake. I used an edible gold dust to put on the edges of the roses and in the centers of the smaller flowers. It seems like every time I have a cake to do, I am very lucky to have my mom with me to help me in one way or another. It is always so nice to have complete support from her. Kason and I had gone down to Las Vegas for almost 2 weeks just before this cake for a little vacation. During this time I was also able to do a fun 1st birthday cake for my nephew Jett who just turned 1 (obviously) today :) Happy Birthday big guy! He loves Mickey Mouse clubhouse so we put on an edible image of mickey mouse with some balloons and fun Mickey Mouse sprinkles. Its been fun to get back into what I love to do

Address pots
Hey everyone! I am trying to make a little extra cash for things coming up here like Oshai's Birthday in a few weeks. This is a cute and bright addition you can have for your home this Spring and Summer. You can make it personalized with a name or address, add ribbons, or just enjoy the beauty the flowers bring to it. If you are interested, please let me know. I would love to make one for you :) All I will need to know is the color and design you would like! Thank you for your help and pass this along to others you would think would enjoy this as well. - Stacie
The picture posted is an example of the one I made for our home

April showers bring May flowers :)
Tons has changed since I was on here last. My biggest "project" has been my son :) Kason is such a sweet heart and I love being able to stay home with him. He always has me laughing and is keeping me busy. Three months already. I wish time would slow down. In the hours where he sleeps, I still love to work on my crafts and projects. Right now, I am working on our yard. We are redoing the front patch and I have started a flower garden and a little berry patch out back. I really enjoy yard work and beautifying our home. It's such nice weather too so why not enjoy the sunshine? I may even be a little bit of a slave driver with Oshai. Sorry about that... :) I just get so excited when I see little strawberries popping up and my grass seed starting to grow. I cant wait to get my hands on the lawn mower and the trimmer to finish the yard. As many know, my mom is an amazing cook and baker. I've been trying to make rolls and cinnamon rolls as well as she can. Lets just say its going to be a long process to be as good as she is :)

Ok so it has been a while since I posted anything on here but I can promise I have not been slacking! I finally finished my irish chain quilt and completed another for a very dear friend of mine. I also have been playing around with more cakes and just finished one for my cousin's wedding yesterday. It keeps me busy and on the edge of my seat but I love it! There is also one more wedding cake that I am doing for tomorrow. Busy busy week but once again, I have my wonderful assistant...Mom! I would probably be pulling my hair out if it weren't for her :)

Mom came down for a visit around Valentine's day. She took Marcie and I to Color me Mine for a girls night out. These are the final products. It was very relaxing and fun to do; a chance to be creative. Another great gift that I received were some cake dummies. I have been looking for these all over but never found any. My mom is a miracle worker when it comes to finding things! After work the other day, I decided to play around with some fondant. That turned into decorating a cake. I have never made roses like these before and they turned out to be quite easy.
