Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!!

Its finally December!  Actually, December came a lot faster than I expected.  Thats ok though because I love this month!  I love the lights, the decorations, everything!  One guy at work wanted us to make a reindeer cake.  This is what we came up with.  I think he's pretty cute :)  It sold and I was able to make another one.  Next goal, Grinch cake!  My cousin is getting married this month and I get to do his wedding cake.  I'm pretty excited.  I hope it will turn out ok for them.  Hopefully I can do more fun cakes this month! Pictures will keep comin!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!  I have had fun learning, watching, and making my own turkey's (out of cake of course) this month.  These are my first ones- not too shabby :) I have had fun being home for the past two days and eating real turkey and all of the other delicious food that my mom and sisters make.  I'm pretty excited for December to come.  That means more fun cakes to learn and so many more projects to work on! I hope everyone had a great Turkey Day!

I love the holidays!

The holidays are coming up which means the time for enjoying crafts.  Last year for my secret santa, I made my sister and her husband a quilt.  I really liked the idea of sewing something.  Sewing is my thing and it  makes it really personal.  I have already finished my secret santa gift for my person this year and had fun making them.  I have some other projects that I am working on for the holidays.  Once I finish, pictures will go up.  The pumpkin table runner was really supposed to be a quilt but i decided to do a table runner instead.  I also decided to do it in fall colors so that my mom could use it for all of fall.  Next goal, make a christmas one!  The projects never end!

Sew what?

As I mentioned, I love to sew.  I went to state for FCCLA and won some medals for the outfits I entered.  It started out as my major in college but now is just a great hobbie.  My mom got me started with quilting and I have kept with it since.  Lately I have been experimenting with machine quilting.  I do it all free hand and like to make new designs and patterns.  My latest projects have been fun holiday pillow cases.  They are simple yet fun because of all of the different combinations of fabrics you can put together.  The projects never end!  Again, I hope you enjoy them!
